What are Google Local Service Ads?
Local Service Ads are featured at the top of the Google search results page—above search ads, map locations and organic searches. On a mobile browser, these service ads are featured predominantly on the search page.
New Google Local Service Ads are now the main paid advertising method for service-based businesses like HVAC companies, plumbers and electricians, and are billed as pay-per-lead (PPL) rather than the traditional pay-per-click (PPC).
Businesses and employees will need to pass a background check, with all licenses and insurance details being verified directly by Google. Once the information has been confirmed, your business will display the Google Guarantee icon, letting customers know they are dealing with a verified business.
The added benefit of becoming Google Guaranteed is that homeowners are protected with a $2,000 money back guarantee. This means if a client books a service through Google Local Services and is unsatisfied, Google will reimburse the customer up to $2,000.
