Block Facebook’s Auto-Play Ads

Facebook’s new Auto-Play Ads have been getting a lot of heat since the announcement yesterday that they would be testing the new feature with a handful of advertisers.

The feature has been in the works for quite sometime and will allow advertisers to post video ads which will play automatically, without the user having to tap to play.

To quote TIME Magazine’s Matt Peckham,

They’re a bad idea. Not just bad like junk in your mailbox, but bad like someone planting a Vegas billboard outside your window that turns on any time you want to admire the scenery.

Luckily there’s a way that you can actually BLOCK them from playing automatically.
